Carolyn Kind
Carolyn is an excellent songwriter with a variety of genres at her fingertips. From Pop to Country she can belt it out with a real fresh and original sounding quarkiness. She has just popped 7 fresh demo’s out in hopes to perform and shop them.
Marion Walsh
Marion returned to DCM Studios to record a very special “ Song For My Father” that she wrote for her dad during his final days and even managed to play it for him just before his passing. This special song is happy, uplifting, supportive and full of everlasting love. Thanks for the opportunity to work on such a gift, Marion!
Carol Adams
Another fantastic songwriter opportunity for us at DCM, Carol came to record several quick demos of her tunes and her voice is spectacular. She may even be featured on a new reality show called “Second Chances”.

“Run from the Hornet”…
is the name of an excellent band of 13 year olds working very hard at the DCM Rock Band classes every week. The band consists of Josh Millard (Guitar, Vocals), Bahram Samiei (Guitar & BG’s), Brooklin Myers (Drums), Joseph Fargey (Bass, Keys, Vocals). The band won the Battle of the Bands in June 2010 at the age of 12 and has just recorded a 3 song demo.

Other Great Artists We’ve Been Working With
Charlotte Fisher
We’ve been working with Charlotte since she was 13yrs. At the age of 16 yrs old, Charlotte and Tyler wrote a song called “Release”. Tyler produced the song along with the talents of co-producer Georges Coulings who also has writing credits on this song. She also made a video for the song that can be seen here.
Rachael Buchanan
Here is a young songwriter that worked with Tyler Pearson to polish the writing and produce her demo. Her voice has a beautiful smoky tone with an original flare! Check out “ Unforgiven Love” in our portfolio section.
Sandy Coppell
This artist is a DJ, MC, and vocalist who wrote a song with Tyler Pearson and Sean Hosein who also produced the track. The song is called “Make You Wanna Dance”.
Bloomfield
This group has a flare for classic rock with their tune “Annalee” they recorded at DCM Studios. With a sound similar to the “Rolling Stones” they blend contemporary sounds in with the past. Great sounding song guys!
Luke Campbell
Luke has handed in his alternative rock hat to put on his country, rockabilly roots hat with his new song “Hope”.
S.A.C’s Songworks Program
DCM Studios is proud to be the Vancouver home of Songworks put on by SAC. How it works is 9 singer/songwriter/producers get together for 3 long days. The group breaks up into 3 teams of 3 each day to write and produce a rough demo. They switch it up in the groups each day to get writers to write with different people. The combination of writers producing amazing results!
Songworks took place at DCM Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, June 8th to 10th, 2010. This event drew on the talents of nine British Colombia songwriters including writer-producers Don Harte, Alisha Pillay, Winston Hauschild, Bob D’Eith, Nadia Von Hahn, Sheldon Witt, Wanting Qu, Adrian Lock and Scott Johnson. All nine writers were fully committed to the process and brought a tremendous amount of hard work and creativity to the sessions. There was a great energy throughout the whole event with everyone putting in extra hours to create fantastic demos for each of the songs. Listen now!
Web, Graphics & Video Production
DCM Studios has definitely been keeping busy with lots of websites, graphic design and video production!
Para Paint (General Paint Subsidiary) : Para Paint has been and still is an excellent client of ours. Para is a brand that General Paint has been developing to compete directly with Benjamin Moore. This is the biggest site we have built to date with lots of front end content, products, flash, an extensive backend for dealers in English and French and over a $50,000 budget to date with more exciting projects on the horizon. Definitely a brand to watch out for! You can check their site at www.para.com
Jammin Java Coffee: Jammin Java Corp. is a publicly traded company that was started from the success of the Marley Coffee company and yes….Bob Marley’s family! How appropriate that DCM Studios gets to work on Jammin Java Coffee’s website! Jammin Java Corp. is a gourmet coffee company providing coffee solutions to the service, hospitality, office coffee service and big box store industries. Of course, Jammin Java Coffee is now DCM’s in house coffee brand! Check them out at : www.jamminjavacoffee.com
Novadx: This is a public company trading on the TSX as NDX. We have done all their branding, website, videos and continue to manage their site. They are a metallurgical coal developer and have made some excellent progress this year with their mines in Alabama and Kentucky. Go Novadx!
Darwin Construction: watch for their redeveloped site by DCM Studios soon to be released on www.darwincontruction.ca . Darwin does amazing developments mainly in the Vancouver area but has offices in North Vancouver, Osoyoos, California and Las Vegas. They also happen to be the new owners | developers of the land from DCM to the corner Mount Seymour Parkway.

DCM IDOL Singing Camp
This is our 15th year doing this popular camp!
Learn to sing songs with our in-house professional vocal coach and record your own CD complete with cover in our professional studio, DCM Studios!
Prepare for Deep Cove Idol Contest @ Deep Cove Daze!
Ages: 5 - 8yrs (morning) | 9 & Up (afternoon)
Length: Monday - Friday
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm or 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Date: July 4-8, 18-22 or August 8-12, 22-26
Cost: $200 (minimum 4 participants required)
Place: DCM Studios
Rock Star Camp
This is our 15th year doing this popular camp! Learn how to play in a rock band! Write, record, mix and master your own songs in our professional studio, DCM Studios! Create a 3-song demo on CD complete with a cover!
Ages: 9yrs & Up
Length: Monday - Friday
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Date: Weekly July through August
Cost: $300 (minimum 4 participants required)
Place: DCM Studio
DCM Film Maker Camp
Write a script, scout shot locations, learn multi anglefilming techniques (free hand and tripod), act in the film, help edit the film, add voices, sound effects, music and titles! Preview the film on last day with popcorn! Receive your copy on a DVD.
The itinerary will be as follows:
Day 1 Concepts and Storyboarding developed through improvisation games and brainstorming.
Day 2,3 Write scenes, scout location for scenes and shoot scenes.
Day 4,5 Import footage and help edit the video. Add sound fx, voices, and music. Author and print DVD’s. Watch preview of the final product on big screen with popcorn!
Ages: 9yrs & Up
Length: Monday - Friday
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Date: August 29-September 2
Cost: $400 (minimum 6 participants required)
*Acting for Film & TV students receive $100 off
